This page explains which sales sources are monitored by GradeVault.eu and how they are transformed into an indicative estimate of a graded card’s value.

Sales data sources

The system monitors archives and market pages compatible with graded Pokémon cards, including PriceCharting feeds and pages, multi-country eBay references (Italy, France, Germany, United Kingdom, Spain, Switzerland, United States, and Austria) and, when technically available, additional external sources such as Goldin, Heritage, Card Ladder, and MySlabs. The actual availability of each source may vary over time due to technical limits, rate limits, third-party website changes, or anti-automation systems.

Imported sales are normalized by card, set, card number, grader, grade, currency, and sale date. Duplicate records are filtered to reduce sample overstatement and to maintain a price history that is as clean and consistent as possible.

How value is estimated

Priority is given, where available, to sales of the same card with the same grader and grade. If the exact sample is not sufficient, the engine may consider very close comparables, for example the same card with a different grader or an adjacent grade, applying different weights to observations.

The model considers recency of sales, price dispersion, sample consistency, any internal signals from the GradeVault database, and other statistical metrics to produce an estimated value and a confidence score. A large number of consistent sales tends to increase confidence; scarce or highly divergent data reduces it.

When there is not yet sufficient history, the system may show no available value or a cautious estimate based on comparables and nearby signals. In any case, the displayed figure does not replace an independent professional appraisal.

GradeVault.eu does not guarantee that all completed sales available online will be captured, nor that the collected data is complete, real-time, error-free, or perfectly aligned with every market variant. Third-party sites may change structure, accessibility, and content at any time.
